DIÁLOGOS: acerca del Terminal Portuario de Manta (TPM)
Evidentemente, existe un antes y un después de la concesión del Puerto de Manta. Así nos comenta Roberto Salazar Bracco, actual presidente de TPM quien gentilmente brindó una entrevista al medio para exponer varios puntos de interés respecto a la institución que representa y su relación con el turismo y las inversiones a corto, mediano y largo plazo.

ECONOMÍA / economy
El Puerto de Manta se renueva para alcanzar los estándares de eficiencia a nivel internacional que satisfaga las demandas y necesidades del Comercio Exterior. Al cabo del primer año de operaciones, ya se han comprometido inversiones que superan los 31 millones de dólares correspondientes a la fase 1A, los cuales se encuentran en ejecución (reparaciones, obra nueva, dragado). La inversión total bordea los $177 millones.

La actividad también se ve reflejada en el incremento de graneles sólidos, líquidos y arribo de cruceros.

El Puerto además, está habilitado para el manejo de vehículos. Esto genera fuentes de trabajo debido al recurso humano necesario para la actividad. Un ejemplo: para mover 500 contenedores, se necesita 1 persona (operador de maquinaria), mientras que para mover la misma cantidad de vehículos (500) hacen falta alrededor de 150 personas. Y Estamos llenos de vehículos!
The Port is also enabled for the handling of vehicles. This generates work sources due to the human resource necessary for the activity. An example: to move 500 containers, you need 1 person (machinery operator), while to move the same number of vehicles (500) you need around 150 people. And we are full of vehicles!
En definitiva, se registra un incremento del 23% de carga, en relación con el periodo 2016-2017.

Idóneo sería antes de terminar el año, contar con una línea que atienda atuneros, ya que al momento no tenemos un músculo fuerte (carga) para tener posicionamiento a nivel nacional (el 90% de la industria se encuentra en Guayaquil).

La voluntad de integración se ve reflejada en los foros de comunicación con medios que promueve la gerencia, evitando así la réplica de desinformación y desconocimiento por parte de la ciudadanía y otras instituciones de interés. Las reuniones son diálogos amenos manejados con carisma y profesionalismo por las partes involucradas.
The integration will is reflected in the media communication forums promoted by management, thus avoiding the replication of misinformation and ignorance on the part of citizens and other institutions of interest. Del 15 al 18 de noviembre próximo se desarrollará en la Terminal Portuaria de Manta, Manabí, la “Primera Convención Nacional de Turismo DISCOVER EC 2018”, encaminada a fortalecer la integración y articulación del sector turístico del país, como un aporte de la empresa privada y profesionales de Turismo.
