Congreso de Innovación Turística 2019 celebrado en la Terminal de Pasajeros de Crucero TPM
Una importante iniciativa del GAD MANTA en conjunto con el Ministerio de Turismo se llevó a cabo en la moderna Terminal de Pasajeros de Crucero (también con funciones de Centro de Convenciones) el pasado 27 de septiembre, Día Internacional del Turismo.
// An important initiative of GAD MANTA in conjunction with the Ministry of Tourism was carried out in the modern Cruise Passenger Terminal (also with functions of the Convention Center) on September 27, International Tourism Day.
La directora municipal de Turismo, Sonia Christiansen Barberán, al dar la bienvenida, resaltó la necesidad y relevancia de este tipo de conferencias en relación a la sostenibilidad de la inversión turística de Manta y Manabí, al mismo tiempo que se promueve la innovación.
// The city´s Tourism director, Sonia Christiansen Barberán, when welcoming, highlighted the need for conferences such as these that contribute to the sustainability of tourism investment in Manta and Manabí, promoting innovation.
La delegación de conferencistas invitados (expertos en desarrollo turístico) y destacados empresarios turísticos, reconocidos por su valioso aporte a la comunidad. Las charlas también estuvieron dirigidas a estudiantes.
The delegation of invited speakers (experts in tourism development) and prominent outstanding tourism businessmen, recognized for their valuable contribution to the community. The talks were also aimed at students.

- Elsa María Castro, disertó sobre los desafíos del turismo sostenible en el desarrollo del Ecuador.
- David Vincet, a través de una videoconferencia desde España, expuso el tema Innovación social para el empleo turístico sustentable. Este experto en planificación, marketing e innovación en turismo actualmente colabora para UNWTO de la OEA.
- Otra ponencia fue “Innovación y competitividad del turismo”, que realizó Jorge Paguay.
- Patrimonio cultural inmaterial y gastronómico, en el marco del desarrollo urbano sostenible fue el tema expuesto por Fabián Bedón Samaniego.

- Elsa María Castro, spoke on the challenges of sustainable tourism in the development of Ecuador.
- David Vincet, through a video conference from Spain, presented the topic Social innovation for sustainable tourism employment. This expert in planning, marketing and innovation in tourism currently collaborates for UNWTO of the OAS.
- Another presentation was “Tourism innovation and competitiveness”, which Jorge Paguay made.
- Intangible and gastronomic cultural heritage, within the framework of sustainable urban development was the theme presented by Fabián Bedón Samaniego.
MINI FERIA DE EMPRENDIMIENTO Y OFERTA TURÍSTICA
Además de emprendimientos y personalidades activas de la localidad, asociaciones empresariales turísticas como AETUR y ALIANZA TURÍSTICA estuvieron presentes a través de sus actores, y con ello la representación de productos y servicios de alta calidad.
// In addition to active enterprises and local personalities, tourism business associations such as AETUR and TOURIST ALLIANCE were present through their actors, and with it the representation of high quality products and services.
