28 de junio, Día internacional del Árbol
Los árboles: símbolos que relacionamos con naturaleza, equilibrio y ecología. Estos gigantes compañeros han estado a nuestro lado desde el principio de los tiempos, aportándonos sombra, casa, alimento, oxígeno y comida.
// Trees: symbols that relate to nature, balance and ecology. These giant companions have been at our side since the beginning of time, bringing us shade, house, food, oxygen and food.
Mediante la fotosíntesis, los árboles nos brindan oxígeno a la vez que eliminan el dióxido de carbono (gracias a este proceso tenemos un aire más limpio), su sola presencia protege al suelo de la erosión, actúa de pantalla contra el viento y regula el clima.
// Through photosynthesis, trees provide us with oxygen while eliminating carbon dioxide (thanks to this process we have a cleaner air), their presence alone protects the soil from erosion, acts as a screen against the wind and regulates the climate.
Por esto, y por muchísimo más el día 28 de junio se conmemora el Día Mundial del Árbol, el cual fue instaurado por el Congreso Forestal Mundial en el año 1969 en la ciudad de Roma, Italia; un que día no es más que una excusa para recordar lo imprescindibles que son estos seres vivos en nuestra vida y en la vida del planeta.
//Reason why, on June 28, World Tree Day is celebrated, which was inaugurated by the World Forestry Congress in 1969 in the city of Rome, Italy. A day is just an excuse to remember how essential these living beings are in our life and in the life of the planet.
